thedoctorofdoctoring there was discussion of this for a pack i was working on a while back and the consensus we reached was that something like this is almost too prescriptive for a game as open-ended as minecraft
for example, say we went with stone bricks, paths, and concrete as the intended "road" blocks. what if a player wanted to make a road out of gravel, coarse dirt, smooth stone, or any other blocks? should they be disincentivized from building in a style that suits them just because of some arbitrary choices made by the pack dev? i suppose you could make a case for having some cost requirement uniform to all the road blocks, but overall i think it's an awkward thing to implement when considering player freedom
