Cross-color connected textures for Quark’s framed glass blocks and panes

Hi! I wanted Quark’s framed glass to connect not only to matching colors, but across different colors as one continuous mosaic, so I made a small client-side add-on.

It supports all 16 dyed variants plus clear framed glass, including colored-to-clear connections. Both full blocks and panes are supported, internal faces are hidden, and no separate resource pack needs to be enabled.

The add-on currently targets Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge and requires Quark and Fusion. It does not add or modify any blocks, networking, or world data, so it is entirely client-side.

This is an unofficial add-on, but I thought the result might also be interesting as inspiration for native Quark functionality. I’d love to hear what the Quark team and community think!

Oh that's quite cool! Can't it be a texture pack tho? I would love to have it in my pack like that

Thank you! I initially tried implementing it as a Fusion resource pack, and a simpler version where only matching colors connect does work that way.

However, the cross-color mosaic shown here needs to know the exact neighboring glass variant, hide the internal faces, and select different overlays for blocks and panes. I couldn’t make all of that work reliably with resources alone—especially pane connections and face culling—so the small client-side add-on handles that part in code. The textures and models are still bundled inside it and load automatically.

So unfortunately this exact version can’t currently be used as a standalone texture pack, but it remains entirely visual and client-side.

I still have the matching-colors-only Fusion resource-pack version, though. I could publish that separately if it would be useful for your pack.
