Shard of laputa-stronger version?

Hey! I love the shard of laputa functionality, but I want to create a base in the air let's say .... 5x time the shard of laputa XX size, is there any addon or something to make stronger shards of laputa? And if not, can I somehow make it so it does bigger islands? I am on version 1.12.2!

I don't think there's a limitation (other than lack of crafting recipe) for the shard itself. You could probably make one with modified NBT data and have it raise an even bigger area.

The thing is, the maximum craftable shard already takes a long time to raise an island into the air. Even bigger version might also not actually be aesthetically pleasing anymore. Feel free to experiment in creative mode with commands.

You can hold a Laputa shard (with a level > 1 to be sure) in your main hand and execute /data get entity @s SelectedItem to see how the shard's NBT data is structured. (This is just informative so you know what you're trying to edit.) Note that internally the level is one lower than what the item's name says.

Then use the usual ways to create or modify items (e.g. /data merge or /give or /summon minecraft:item) with appropriate parameters to make a Laputa shard stack have a higher level than usual.

When I use those commands it says unknown command, I tried exactly as you said /data entity get @s, and nothing came out

Oh wait, I forgot those were only added in 1.13+. You will, unfortunately need to do some research on item NBT data manipulation in 1.12.2 yourself.
