Mana spreader not outputting to pool in Beyond Ascension

Not sure if the image will load properly but I set up a simple endoflame -> spread -> pool. Everything is linked properly but the spreader is not outputting to the pool at all. I'm not really sure why? There's no redstone signals nearby and no optifine mod in this modpack. I'm playing in Beyond Ascension modpack, botania version is 1.20.1.

Badly configured chunk claiming mods can suppress the mana bursts, which are a type of projectile. Also, certain projectile-affecting protective measures (e.g. interdiction torches) can prevent mana bursts or mana burst simulation from working as expected.
