Some major gameplay features have been discussed:
- Making the Nether a void world also (related Github issue)
- Making the Loonium roll certain loot tables when placed within the appropriate structure bounding boxes - by Zach, also affects base Botania gameplay but makes certain items available in GoG e.g. Sponges and armour trims
Some not so major features but still useful suggestions that I'd personally like to see:
- Linked to the Loonium, a method of finding/visualising said bounding boxes. I suggested a monacle upgrade/cosmetic that displays these, perhaps displaying only certain ones when crafting with a specific stained glass pane (as a sort of filter) similar to adding lenses to a Mana Blaster.
- Also suggested by Arti, a way to find biomes in GoG involving the infusion of a livingrock idol/separate item with certain items to locate "representative" biomes (i.e. no subbiomes, here's an incomplete table for ideas)
- Buffing Livingroot (the blocks below the starter island) to always drop 4 instead of 2-4, or insta-grow saplings to reduce earlygame waiting for trees to grow before making a mob-farm.
- Magma Block -> Lava via Pure Daisy (PD) recipe, enables Thermalily automation in GoG without waiting for years for dripstone to fill a cauldron, not sure how much this might affect furnace fuel balance
- Basalt -> Blackstone PD recipe? (can't really gather in large amounts like normal, Piglin trading isn't that reliable and the blocks are found in the same biome anyways)
- Soul soil conjuration recipe (again, hard to gather in large quantities outside of breaking soul campfires)
- Mossy cobblestone -> Moss alchemy recipe (or some other way like moss carpet from mangrove -> moss)
Loonium changes mean the Heart of the Sea recipe could probably be removed in favour of finding buried treasure.
Amethysts, spore blossoms, sus sand, sherds, sniffer eggs and glow lichen are unavailable (assuming cherry blossom is added to the wood/sapling/leaf alchemy loops).
Sorry for the long post, had a small document at the ready lmao
