Mana "stuck" in Spreader

Hi! I've recently got into Botania and am really enjoying it. However, I've noticed an issue I'm having with mana getting "stuck" in a disperser.

In this set up, I have both one entropinnyum and one kekimurus hooked up to each of these two spreaders (it's not automated, but I don't mind doing it manually). They don't go on at the same time, so both types of plants aren't feeding mana to the same spreader at the same time. Regardless of if it's the entropinnyum or kekimurus, after I've blown it up/seen a cake eaten there's a period where the mana flows into the pool, then stops. But I can see there's still mana inside the spreader like in the screenshot (it's the same for the normal spreader).

Is this normal? Should I be doing something differently with my set up? There's no redstone around to interfere with it - they're up in the air to make sure of that.

If you are using chunk claiming, make sure it does not block any projectiles not owned by your player. Also, things like Interdiction Torches may stop spreaders from working properly, as mana bursts are projectiles.

I don't know what version you're on, but on older versions you may need to rightclick the spreader with the wand to update how much mana it shows as being inside. The spreader may be empty and the display simply hasn't updated yet.
