Additional bone meal behaviors

As it stands, Small Dripleaf, as well as 2-tall Ferns and Tall Grass are incredibly hard to obtain in survival. I don't exactly understand why this is the case, so it shouldn't be too difficult to just throw in some bone meal behaviors for that the same way we do for spore blossoms

why don't make tall fern/grass obtainable with shears?

Another bone meal behavior I'd like to suggest is to make it work like in bedrock for duplicating flowers, in bedrock you can use bone meal on a flower and that will make more flowers of the same type spawn around the original flower.

To add: I made a little mod feature before that lets bone meal regrow the bark on stripped logs. Players on my server love it. I made it so it has only a 1/5 chance of consuming the bone meal to make it less expensive, but that's up to your own idea of a difficulty curve.

And I also second the shears opinion above: while bone meal is useful for duplication, using shears on dripleaf and tall ferns and grass to make them drop makes even more sense, and feels more rewarding. And they generate enough to be able to gather enough that way without the bone meal feature I think.

small logistical issue, small dripleaves already turn into big dripleaves when bonemealed

Maybe using bonemeal on clay can cause small dripleaf plants to grow?

an idea i thought of was right-clicking the bottom of a big dripleaf with shears, then it turns into a small dripleaf

but the bonemealing clay idea may be better
