I saw a suggestion on the discord a few days ago: what if there was a flower that automatically traded with villagers? I wondered if it could automate anything vanilla Botania couldn’t. The proposed flower has a few uses, but would need careful balancing.
The only things that Botania doesn’t already allow automation for are:
Using villagers could speed up automation of some things, not requiring players to kill mobs from the loonium:
Villager trading could also provide alternatives to existing setups:
- Ender pearls
- Name tags
- Nether quartz
- Redstone dust
- Lapis lazuli
- Glowstone
- Fishing rods
- Carpet
- Glistering melon
- Tipped arrows
Here’s the most important trades though: bottles of enchanting, and a wide variety of food. Mana cost for the flower would need to be balanced against generation from the Rosa Arcana and Gourmaryllis.
In the end, I can’t see too many uses for this. Botania can automate enough things as-is.
