This is a list of old ideas I had for an addon I wanted to make a long ago.. then I lost interest in botania for a long while :p
I still want to leave it somewhere in case someone find it interesting or even as botania suggestions (tho nowadays I think some of this ideas are just bad lol)
Big Mana pool hahaha (with easter eggs 😉)
I always wanted a multiblock mana pool.. not a pool, but a way to store mana in a "single" place, for commodity, less lag and overall better looks. My idea was originally a (small) tree with an orb in the middle where it holds the mana, the structure was 3x4x3 (x, y, z) and hold the equivalent of 40 pools (the size would give 36 but it had a plus just to round up), if you clicked it with the manastar flower it would change the leaves (more like small petals) of the tree to blue and red depending of mana I/O.
One iteration was to have 1 spark for I/O (which would make it slow for some automations but that was part of the balance), another was to have "roots" connected to manapools on the 4 cardinal points and let you change which ones do input and which do output, but in general the multiblock was to be a way to bulk store mana in a more pretty way but with some drawbacks. For the easter eggs, one was to change the tree for the beacon from the Skyrim mod "Enderal" and other was one of the structures at the end of Half-life 1 (I don't know what is called but it's the one just before you meet Nihilanth)... Oh I almost forgot, to form the multiblock you'll have to craft a container for the mana (the orb on top of the tree) and a seed (which would grow the tree)
Pylons (terraria)
You know terraria (botania if it was a game), it has pylons that let you tp around, basically that, 1 per (vanilla) biome, and use mana... I think that was all, gui would be like the crafting halo
Rod of hell + fly rod = enemies levitate
one of the silly ideas for multi wand behaviour, basically sets all the enemies on fire around you and makes them go up.. it just sounds fun (also had the idea of it affecting all mobs till you upgraded it to ignore passives somehow)
Elytra animation for wings. This yes
yes plz. the idea I think it was to remove the dash and instead make them go elytra mode, or just do it whilst you hold shift... something like that
Fireworks flower? Old dream...
Once upon a time Vakczii asked on twitter (formerly X) about flower ideas... mine was to have a flower that generate mana based on fireworks, on how far they go and how much they explode, you'll have to activate them next to the flower, obviously, and, also obviously, the firework lens wouldn't work for this.
Modded stone flower? Even possible? Prolly
I think this was either a way to make the Marimorphosis generate more stones from mods or just make a new one.. don't really remember the full thought.. tho I don't know if you can add stones to the mari thru datapack, but if no, that would be a neat thing to have.
All floating flower flowers (vanilla)

rod that shoot angry bees, flower that eat bees, quite simple...
Actually I want to expand in the flower.. the idea was that a flower like a Venus flytraps that would eat bees, if the bee had pollen it would generate more mana, if was a babee it would not generate mana, eating a bee maybe triggered a cooldown.. and breeding bees I think is possible with botania so I think it's a good flower
Corporea don't open chest when place
Was this fixed yet? I know I have it fixed in my custom tweaks mod but don't know if this was changed on botania.. if not, please I wanna be able to quickly put some spark on chest without having to crouch each time!!!!!1uno
Corporea jei integration, make a new button that request items and puts them in the corresponding slots, follows the rules of corp requests
I remember doing this long ago for my personal pack.. it died rather quickly when I realized corporea doesn't request items based on tags.. but I think it could be a nice thing for corporea to have, it is not much different from the way it works right now (you can search a recipe in jei/emi/rei and just press the corresponding keybind on each item), it would just simplify the process.
Better function wand mode for spreaders, like with arrows or something to aim them
A lot of times when I wanted to do something with spreaders, aiming them was a pain if I needed them to point to a specific place, the idea was to have a GUI that let you rotate the spreader by x degrees.. not very botania I know but the QOL!

Look.. I'm not Bdubs but I do like horses in minecraft (and IRL) and I wanted to have a honse with op armor... (plz make honse armor plz)
Player seed. teleports the player to the bed, or to other's players bed if hand of ender interaction // maybe just a way to get out of the caves instead
I ended up making this on my old pack and... I dunno.. since the ender pearl stasis chamber exist I don't like this idea anymore, so what I ended up doing it was to make a seed that tps the player to the surface (that's why the "maybe just a way to get out of the caves instead" edit)... I like the concept for that just not the execution

Ponchos instead of capes
Sorry voskoo but the capes look.. SO BAD.. I just don't like them.. so my idea for them to look slightly better was to convert them to ponchos instead, less bulky (I actually ended up making look like vanilla capes because for god I can't do models in this game I'm so bad) (oh and by ponchos I mean the ones that look like a V that doesn't fully cover your arms, not the big cozy ones)
Lilipad fishing flower
just like that, uses mana and generates fish, you place it in water and you'll probably need a hopperhock that picks up the fish.. (it fishes fish)

I been doing this in my pack since 2020 and I think it should be in base botania... I think the player kills in minecraft are a weird, unnecessary feature, and the damage lens is very much 3rd place on damaging entities (behind belle(delphine)thorn and the pew pew wand)...

Make influence + warp lens on blaster teleports the player wherever the bust collide, it also makes that the burst can't be warped via relay
this is basically a reiteration of the initial idea for the grappling hook.. but more... I actually think is not a bad idea tho

I'm normally not a hater.. I only "hate" things that have potential but end up being just "meh".. except for the end.. I hate the end, the process of going to the end and everything around it... and specially hate the need to go to that dimension.. thus this idea... let me shove an enderman to the elven portal till the elves get mad enough to send me some ender air

yeah, redstring that binds to the apo and works exactly like it but that can be hid underground... quite simple

this one I still like.. let allays hold a black hole talismand, detect what item is inside it and pick up any match item in the world...
glowing frames as tag filters
hopperhocks and others, only filter items.. sometimes that's not enough, the idea was to use the new (not so new anymore) frames to do tag filter instead..
