Idea for Color runes [Quark 1.20]

Hi, so my idea is that instead of using the anvil to apply color runes, it would be cool to use the smithing table like the armor trims.

Will it just be blank rune as smithing template + dye as the smithing material?

It would be cool if corundum clusters were the smiting material
